Rose Shuckburgh (b. 1997) is an artist whose practice encompasses painting, printmaking, poetry and making. Her work catalogues the animacy of the natural world, mirroring her own experience of nature as active and imbued with spirit. Growing up immersed within the rugged, verdant landscape of rural mid Wales installed in her an understanding of the natural world not as something separate, but as something interwoven with her own life. She aligns these themes with a sensitivity towards materials, interested in the relationship between matter and the immaterial.
